Inle Lake
Inle Lake , a freshwater lake located in the Nyaungshwe Township of Taunggyi District of Shan State, part of Shan Hills in Myanmar (Burma). It is the second largest lake in Myanmar with an estimated surface area of 44.9 square miles (116 km2), and one of the highest at an elevation of 2,900 feet (880 m). Inle Lake is famous for the floating vegetation, scenic beauty and the unique leg-rowing of the Inthas. Although the lake is not large, it contains a number of endemic species. There are 247 species of birds, over 20 species of snails and 9 species of fish in the Inle natural Lake.

Jerdon’s Bushchat (Saxicola jerdono)
The Jerdon’s Bushchat (Saxicola jerdono) is highlight at Inle Lake in Myanmar. It is a species of bird in the family Muscicapida, found in N, E Laos, NE, NW Thailand and N,E Myanmar. It inhabited in tall grassland in lowlands, plains and hills, cleared land with rocks and tall herbs. It is not global threatened. Very sparse in most of range, of which Laos appears to be center.



Chinese Grassbird (Graminicola striatus)
The Chinese Grassbird ( Graminicola striatus ) is a bird species in the Pellorneidae family, found in E Myanmar , FR (currently?) Tenasserim, C Thailand, and E Tonkin. It was formely placed in the Old World warbler family Sylviidae and the babbler family Timaliidae. It inhabited at tall wet grassland (0.8 – 1.3 m high), reed-swamp and other emergent vegetation by wetlands. The Chinese Grassbird ( Graminicola striatus ) has entered the IUCN Red List as a Threatened Species Vulnerable by habitat loss.
